The EEO Page!

The EEO process can be a long, and time-consuming undertaking. When you call in to the Agency District EEO office and request an EEO packet, you must keep in mind that you are still dealing with Agency personnel, not EEOC personnel. I would like to think that the Agency EEO personnel would be professional and objective when processing your complaint, however, they may be there for you, to a certain extent, but it is the Agency that employs them, and that is where there primary allegiance is at...not with you. To review how the EEO process progresses, please refer to the link listed below.

There is currently a class action EEO that has been certified by the Denver District EEOC on April 1, 2003. The review the particulars of this class-action, please go to Cyncar v. Potter for appropriate information. You can go to the Question and Answer (Q&A) page listed below for general information in regards to class action EEO complaints and a Q&A page in regards to the class action notice which USPS sent on August 1, 2007..

There is another class action EEO that was certified on March 30, 2000, subsequently appealed by the USPS, and a final ruling issued by the EEOC on January 15, 2002. This class action revolves around discrimination against permanent Rehab personnel by the USPS and their employment opportunities. To view the particulars of this class action, please visit the link below.

Note: The Glover v. Potter case has been settled. That settlement was reached on the 2nd or 3rd of December, 2003. Go to the link below for additional information.

If you are not certain that you have a "qualified disability", or you would like to join the Cyncar v. Potter class-action and you need to make a fairly accurate determination whether or not you have a disability, please visit the web-link that is listed below. It will not give you a definite answer whether or not you have a disability, but it will give you a fair idea. The final determination would be made during the EEOC judicial process.
